Mens 24hr Wilderness Reset - Loch Lomond, Scotland

This isn’t for everyone

24 hours on a beautiful forested hilltop.

On the 24hr Wilderness reset you’ll be required to do something most men can’t;

  • Switch your phone off
  • Switch your senses on
  • Breathe deeply and feel a bit more like the man you were designed and built to be

Community and Experience

l like to keep things simple so we’re only really focussing on two things:

Community: The company of other men.

Experience: The warmth of a campfire, watching the stars from your hammock, building things of use with your hands, watching the sun set from a hilltop.

Learn the skills

Once we reach the site we’ll have lunch and then take some time to look at how to rig your hammock and tarp for the best night’s sleep.

We’ll also look at a variety of other old-school outdoor skills that make a night out in the trees easier and more enjoyable.

The world’s oldest forum

We’ll cook and eat at the campfire, the same way as the ancient men we’re descended from. And we’ll just talk.

No gongs, no robes, no roleplay.

A night under the stars

Obviously it’s up to you when you turn in for the night but you’ll sleep in the tarp and hammock shelter you built earlier in the day. That can be close to base-camp, or further out.

Either way, you’ll be warm and comfortable.

What men are saying

Customers reviews, as at Monday, the 10th of August 2026:

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "Never experienced anything like this before. Thoroughly enjoyed the night away and learned a bit about basic outdoor bushcraft. Would recommend anyone interested give it a try. Thanks for having me Tom 👍."

Joe, West Hillocks, Broomhall, Charlestown, Dunfermline, Scotland.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "Myself and my 3 children had a brilliant time with Tom, learning new skills and enjoying the great outdoors with Tom. Highly recommended."

Heyrick, Station Road, Reading, Berkshire, England.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "I spent the weekend beside Loch Lomond. Cold water, chopping firewood, the campfire conversations, climbing (most of) Ben Lomond That silence can be as valuable as speaking. With all our devices, notifications, and virtual connections, nothing replaces a handful of good people beside you on a walk or around a fire. The honesty of the whole experience. No roles. No labels. No Egos. A massive thank you to Tom Gold, who created the space for all of this with no fuss and no pretence, just authenticity and a genuine belief that men need community, outdoors and in. A brilliant weekend with some amazing men. Highly recommended."

Craig, Loch Road, Chapelhall, Airdrie, Scotland.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "Well-structured but far-from-bossy stint in the woods away from distractions. Sense of humour most important than initiative. Well worth a try. Thoroughly recommended. Tom puts much work in involving all. Glad I went."

Tim, Graceway Plaza, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "This was an enlightening and practical experience. Something I had wanted to do for some time and the Wilderness Reset under Tom’s guidance and professional guidance delivered a magical experience. There is nothing better than like minded guys sitting around a fire passing comments and views on anything they wish. The learning was excellent and I will certainly return to experience again."

Bruce, Lumb Brook Road, Appleton Thorn, Warrington, Cheshire, England.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "Tom is a great outdoors mentor, thoughtful listener and really cool to get along with. Being outdoors, standing around a fire, drinking coffee or eating some fire-cooked meal is unbeatable to wind down from the daily hustle. Highly recommended!"

Andor, Flugplatzstrasse 5, CH-8404 Winterthur, Switzerland.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "Wonderful weekend, just the break I needed after an intense period of life. Tom is a fantastic guide, what he doesn't know about the wilderness/outdoors isn't worth knowing. I will definitely be doing this again."

Ryan, Marlowe Avenue, Eastbourne, East Sussex, England.

Mens Outdoor Group | 5 stars "What a tremendous retreat! Fire torch marching, wild swimming, incredible food, mountain climbing and great conversation- hands down the best retreat I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to loads - Tom Gold = True Gentleman and Legend!!"

Greg, Station Road, Milton of Campsie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
